HISTORY:

tsukumo was born into the emiya family running five generations long. he was never formally taught to be a magus, he had been kept in the dark about his family and was encouraged to strive for entry into a top middle and subsequently high school during his elementary years. and so he worked hard and gained entry into a prestigious middle school; however, things went awry when an accident occurred in his home when he returned from a school trip. he was shocked to discover his family literally in pieces, before he was knocked out cold after his discovery. upon awakening, the house had been cleaned up and a cross-shaped wound engraved into his left cheek. soon, he was sent with his belongings - and a long box he recognized as his parents' - to fuyuki city, where he was to live under the supervision of his guardian.

the guardian turned out to be a swordsmith who ran a tea house to make ends meet. he saw no reason to continue his studies and was instead taken in as the man's apprentice. at twenty years old, tsukumo has now trained under him for a good six, almost seven years. his guardian passed him his parents' box only just two years ago, in which was a journal detailing about the holy grail and various facts they had kept hidden from him. they too, had passed down two swords to him, both of which were reverse-edged swords.

he was by no means a swordsman, only a mere swordsmith. from the information provided in the journal, he eventually obtained a bare skeleton of information on his family. through accidence and coincidence, he managed to summon a servant of his own.
