PERSONALITY:
A young man who is rather good and kind by nature, although he puts on a face that appears rather stoic and sometimes depressing. Homura has always been naturally curious since he was young, sometimes to the point of being extremely nosy when it comes to the businesses of other people. Although this trait of his is not as obvious as before, it truly shines through once he enters into his ‘investigator mode’. Because of this though, he also tends to be mistaken as a stalker, and does have several police records related to this accusation. Still, for the sake of doing his job until he discovers the reality behind matters, he does not easily relent even if his client decides to break their contract.
From his curiosity also stems his bravery and recklessness, for he tends to rush head long into dangerous situations like a gung-ho soldier on the battlefield. Sadly, the male had not inherited much wit from the demon that had possessed him, requiring Aym to get him out of grave situations every now and then. Although the demon itself is not totally evil, there are instances when the male is possessed that he goes into a temporary state of insanity, more specifically after the overuse of the demon’s power over flames. There have been some accounts of people stating that the man had been seen laughing maniacally amongst a sea of flaming debris, aside from being a prime suspect of many arson crimes that happen in the country. Because of lack of evidence though, he can never be prosecuted for these acts.
HISTORY:
A young private detective who had been hired to investigate the mysterious happenings that had been occurring as of late within Fuyuki City. Though he had initial interest in the many news he had seen on TV regarding mass fainting spells and the obviously false gas leak accidents that had been happening on a regular basis, it was not until a former resident of the city had approached him to look into these matters after the mysterious death of their relative. With the help of a mage informant he knows, he learned of the ceremony known as the Holy Grail War, though specific details regarding the matter were withheld from him. With his curiosity taking control of him, the male travels to Fuyuki hoping to be a witness of such a spectacle, and possibly prevent any more mysterious deaths from occurring.
As long as he could remember, the male had lived majority of his childhood in an orphanage supposedly run by the church. During those days though, some of the children were said to mysteriously vanish, with claims that they had suddenly been adopted. Because of his curious nature though, Homura chanced upon discovering the real truth of the disappearances, one where the children were being sacrificed in order to try summoning demons from the Clavicula Salomonis a.k.a. The Lesser Key of Solomon. It was during this one ritual he witnessed that the demon Haborym came into the human realm; albeit, incompletely due to an error in the summoning ritual. As a result, it possessed the closest thing the demon had an affinity for, later using that body to raze the whole orphanage and everything in it to the ground. When Homura came to several days later, he was in a hospital bed noted as the sole survivor of an arson case whose suspects were yet to be caught.
It was during his days of hospitalization that he was in constant contact of a magus under the guise of a private investigator hired by the church. It was through him that he discovered what happened on that day and the reality that he had become possessed by a demon. Because of the danger of the male being hunted down by Exorcists and possibly Executors, he was taken in as an assistant and mentee of the man, eventually learning to communicate and use the demon that resided within his body. After the passing of his mentor due to lung cancer, Homura followed in the man’s footsteps as an investigator, taking over the man’s office to continue the works he left behind and eventually take on some of his own.
EXTRA INFORMATION:
Homura carries a silver lighter on himself even though he doesn’t smoke, often unconsciously playing with the flip-top covering when he is thinking or just plain bored. He also has a tendency to light the cigarettes or cigars of people he come across that need a light, something which he used to do for his mentor.
Regarding Haborym: Haborym or Aym/Aim is one of the Great Dukes of Hell that commands 26 legions in the Lesser Key of Solomon. It is said that he can make a person witty is many different ways while also giving truthful answers on any private matters. He takes the form of a human with three heads: one being of a serpent, the middle head of a human and the third being that of a cat (or calf in other literature), and rides on a large viper. In one hand, he is seen carrying a firebrand or a torch which he uses to raze castles, towns and palaces to the ground.
