PERSONALITY:
In his childhood, Iori was always identified as the mischievous troublemaker. Always forgoing his scheduled training to play hookey and have his fun, usually resulting in harsh punishment. Now, having time to grow up, Iori has surprisingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, remained the same. As if he was born with a instinctual urge to rebel. Best described as free-spirited, he marches to the beat of his own drum so to speak. Normally he bears a flippant disposition towards accepted figures of authority, his parents, etc. It's just painfully difficult to respect their words, let alone take them seriously, when normally all they're telling him is what to do. Actually, on that topic, it's hard for Iori to take anything very seriously. A stereotypical ball of sunshine, he hides his inner turmoil well behind blithe indifference. Even when faced with situations of severe danger or tension, he still finds it appropriate to crack a wry comment or joke. But like any regular human being, Iori does have his own personal troubles.

Overall, his lifestyle has taken something of a hedonistic turn, Iori's personal taste in pleasure being excitement and women, to name a few. When it comes to demon slaying, his sadistic side views it as a thrilling form of entertainment. Unfazed by the possibility of losing his life, self-destructive would accurately describe his actions if he didn't prove to have the skills and ability to back it up time and time again. Chalk it up to having grown most of his life catering to others and living up to their lofty expectations. Regardless, a change of pace was decidedly long overdue. Frankly, Iori became quite sick of living that way. This lends to his self-centered type of personality, focusing on him and only him. Usually things that don't directly benefit him are casually disregarded, but when it comes to things he is personally invested in, he demonstrates a more driven and motivated facet of his personality. A stark contrast to his usual lackadaisical behavior, he does have a strong desire to become better in certain areas of his life. But despite how fixated he may seem with himself, Iori does have a more empathetic side. He deeply values companionship and has never been able to ignore a person in need, especially those he considers important to him. They're definitely some of his more admirable traits, though he's hesitant to acknowledge them.

HISTORY:
Son of the current head of the Nanaya family and next in line to succeed him, great things were expected of Iori from birth. You could say there was a large amount of pressure on him from a very early age. He delivered to an extent, growing into a very capable assassin and demon hunter, but he didn't make it an easy road by any means, for himself and others. From the beginning, Iori has always shown signs of disdain when it comes to becoming the next head of the family, he doesn't demonstrate the necessary skills to lead so whether or not he becomes
the only thing you need to answer is what is your character doing in fuyuki city, but feel free to expand on your character background in here. if you appplied for a canon or a claim, more information might be required out of you in this portion.

EXTRA INFORMATION:
Iori's dyed his hair numerous times, always bright, unnatural colors. At the moment he's settled on orange but his natural hair color is black.

He has a habit of referring to others by nickname, usually thought up on the spot and based on first impressions, their behavior, or even the most random thing. People usually take it as a form of disrespect and, well, it normally is.
