A supernatural creature's greatest enemy is religion - a form of Thaumaturgical Theory that receives its powers from divine beings rather than prana. The largest among these factions is the Holy Church itself. An inner circle lies inside their walls, one that recognizes the presence and threat of supernatural creatures. Their main goal is to banish and destroy such heretics in order to protect humanity. Their greatest enemy is the vampire, since the Church is more prevalent in the west. They peacefully coexist with the Mage's Association, whom they have branded as heretics. It is not uncommon for fights to break out between the two factions.

When it comes to handling supernatural acitivity, the Church has two factions to handle them. The first are the EXORCISTS, humans skilled with the art of expelling spiritual disturbances in a human's soul. They are most known for assisting against demon possessions, especially at their early ages. Most Exorcists are priests or representatives of a bishop. A strong will and an unshakable faith is required for an Exorcist - they have no use for weapons for their battle is located in the mind. Most exorcist come and go by villages under the blessings of the Church, assisting any in need.

There is, however, a darkest aspect in vanquishing the supernatural. The second faction is made up of the EXECUTORS, a group so terrible their department has been nicknamed Shura's Den. Anyone may be part of the Executors, regardless of age, so long as they wish to protect the Church and have enough means to do so. The executors are not required to share the Church's faith - their job is simply to hunt down and kill anything the Church considers to corrupt the earth - demons, vampires, even magi - with the use of any means.

The top eight executors are grouped into the BURIAL AGENCY. They are considered to be cold-blooded assassins, entasked with only their mission. They do not follow the Church completely at all, so long as their targets are executed. Baptism for them is optional, and members they may be heretics themselves.

The Assembly of the Eight Sacrament is division in the Church that is charged with the retrieval, research, and management of holy relics throughout the world. They are allowed to use any means in order to fulfill their duties, even if it goes against their doctrine. As such, the Assembly has been known to cooperate with mages for their own needs.

One of the artifacts they are currently investigating on is the Holy Grail that appears in Fuyuki City. They are the first ones to discover that this particular Grail is fake - nonetheless, they still keep an eye on it such that it shall not fall into the wrong hands. In each war, the Assembly chooses a representative to be the judge of Heaven's Feel. He or she shall be entasked as moderator, making sure that no one breaks the rules. They also take care of Masters who withdraw from the war, retrieving their Command Spells and providing them shelter.
