MINAMOTO NO YOSHITSUNE

NAME:
Minamoto no Yoshitsune. His name is rather grandiose to some, though titles have been given to his person. Hōgan is one of them which he received from the Imperial Court.
AGE:
Thirty, no more and no less. He doesn't seem to have aged a bit from the day he was committed to forcibly commit seppuku alongside his family.

Male, and quite Heterosexual if he has anything to say about it.

PERSONALITY:
Typically the type to put honor above most things, Minamoto is a broken man regardless. There is an utter seriousness about him as if he has trouble relaxing at some points. When he does, there is a look of sombre secrecy when he feels no one is looking at him. Having his family commit forced suicide beside him as obviously made him a bit reluctant to be emotional towards anything else. His grip on his sword is tight and wary and he made an internal vow to no longer take the time to trust or let himself relax when there could be trouble at any corner.
Obviously, Minamoto lacks the emotional stability or desire to trust others and he makes this quite clear with a silent look in his eyes that can probably cut just as well as the sword he wields so well. He does what he needs to do and he is very decisive with his own decisions. Conquest and duels are what he knows best, and there is no emotion needed to cut someone down efficiently. There are moments of warmth however within his caged heart. The laughter of children make his heart flutter and they are one of the few times he will smile if just a little.
He finds it difficult to sympathize with others. He isn't the one you should come to and vent for your problems. He'll listen quietly, but if you're expecting advice he simply won't have the heart to give it to you for fear that it won't be useful. Despite that lack of attachment, Minamoto is courageous and he tackles all problems with a calm mind. He is not rash, nor is he cocky either. He remains within a balance of humility, though the morale of the people that cares about him is something he's familiar with.
Minamoto only thinks of doing anything well and little else. He might even seem robotic, but there is always a shred of humanity left in him that resurfaces every now and again.
HISTORY:
While still a part of the living, Minamoto was easily the most recognizable warrior of his time in Japan. He had a mistress that was made famous by him, he slayed a powerful Bandit Leader at just fifteen, and though he was forced to commit suicide alongside his family he did so with every bit of honor he had in his chest. His focus for swordplay and skill are legendary as he even bested a giant man named Benkei whom no other could.
He is best known besides his skill to have beaten the Taira clan twice and was given honors by the Imperial Court for his talents. Unfortunately, his plans of hiding himself in seclusion was betrayed by the very man helping him do so.
Now, he has inspired numerous plays and a statue has been erected in his honor. He is also a very popular figure in Japanese Literature. Gikeiki (The Chronicles of Yoshitsune) is an enduring classic. Tales of his exploits and his quick success with the blade is always a tale worthy of being told.
His spirit is so restless however, and he made a promise during his suicide to make things right and keep going for his deceased family. Seems as if that was answered.
